Top 10 Bad Beats From Week 3 Of NFL & Week 4 Of CFB
Time for your weekly MOOOOOOOOOSE alert:
10. Ravens/Broncos Over 46
At the end of the first half, the Ravens & Broncos combined to score 34 points:
In the second half, the Broncos entered the red zone 2 times…0 points.
Final total: 41 points. 5 points under.
9. Illinois +27.5
Up 28-24 in the third quarter, Illinois backers were feeling pretty, pretty, pretty good. Then disaster struck:
42 straight points for the Nittany Lions to cover the -27.5 by 11.5 points. Just a brutal pill to swallow heading into a CFB Saturday.
8. EMU/SDSU Over 48.5:
27 points in the first half. Just 13 in the second. The good news? Overtime! Just need two scores. It’s going to happ….
7. Texas A&M +16 1H:
With 3:29 left in the second, Texas A&M was down 8. Next thing you knew, Alabama scored:
No big deal…..that makes the deficit 15 points. Texas A&M will get the ball, knee out the clock, right?! OH NO!
Relax….relax….they’ll need to kick a long field goal. Alabama can NEVER kick field goals! Ah fuck:
6. Tulane +37.5:
With 7:45 left in the fourth, Tulane took over with the ball on their own 15-yard-line, down 42-6, but still covering. After a 38-yard rush, Tulane was inside Ohio State territory. Before they knew it, they stalled. 4-and-out. Ohio State got the ball with 3:32 left on their own 30-yard line. Time to run out the clock and get ready for Penn State. That’s not how Urban Meyer rolls. Up 42-6, he had Tate Martell throw the ball 5-straight times and then with 1:01 left, when OSU could’ve just kneeled out to triple zeroes:
5. Texans/Giants Under 44.5:
When the Giants took over with 7:31 in the fourth, there were just 35 total points. The Giants went on a 5-minute drive, to put the total at 42. Starting a drive at their own 25 with 2:08 left, the Texans had to go 75 yards to put this game over (unless they kicked a FG). It was 4th & Goal with 10 seconds left. You can see with your eyes what happened:
4. Dolphins/Raiders Under 46:
The score with 2:30 left in the fourth? 21-17, Dolphins. Who had the ball? The Dolphins on their own 26-yard line.
No big deal. 28 + 17 = 45. Still alive. The Raiders, down 11, had the ball on Miami’s 34-yard-line. 1st-and-10. Just go in prevent for the last 25 seconds and don’t allow a touchd….FACK!
3. Wisconsin/Iowa Under 42.5:
With 2:00 left in the fourth, there was just a combined 31 points in this game. Wisconsin scored to make it 21-17. After Nate Stanley threw an interception, all Wisconsin had to do was run out the clock. That didn’t happen:
No…
NO….
NOOOOOOOO!
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
1. Bowling Green/Miami-OH Under 55.5:
With 6:00 left in the fourth, the score in Bowling Green & Miami-OH was 31-3. 22 points away from going over. Somehow, someway, the total got to 48 with 4:33 left. Everything was okay, though. Still under by 7.5 points. Miami-OH scored with 34-seconds left to make the score 38-17. Game over, right?
Wrong. Time for a meaningless hail mary:
Time to go take a long, longggggg walk.
