BYU Apologizes For Promoting "Taco Tuesday" Event With Two Students Dressed As Tacos
Time to get TRIGGERED.
Last week, BYU’s dining center posted this photo on their Instagram:
At first, my reaction was simple: it’s 2019 and you should know better than having two white Mormons dress up in taco suits to promote a dining event. Use your brain! I then remembered this was BYU, so they should get a bit of a break. Utah, specifically Provo, is a different world that is probably 10 or so years behind. They didn’t know better.
However, this still sparked a reaction that forced the dining center to apologize:
Good for them, learning from mistakes is what life is all about. One day I hope to have the humility that BYU’s Ballad Center has.
Speaking of mistakes, they did delete the original post. No way should you ever delete a post as funny as that one, even if it was unintentional and angered individuals. There were multiple levels of comedy in it. First, the two Mormons dressed as tacos is just so absurd you have to laugh. Second, one of the tacos is married, which couldn’t be Mormon if they tried:
Third, the flags they picked couldn’t have been more dumb. Argentina and Bolivia?
At least do your research if you are gonna drop a post like this.
At least the BYU Cougar is cool:
