It Is Surreal How Good Barcelona's U10 Soccer Team Is

I don’t want to overreact or anything, but holy shit those kids are so fucking good at soccer. We may not have the biggest soccer audience in the world here at Barstool, but any person with a brain can understand how absurd these goals are from 10-year-olds.

Also, this was against Real Madrid’s U10 team, so it wasn’t like they were playing chumps or the US National Team. Don’t get me wrong, though, they weren’t playing Will Ferell’s team from Kicking & Screaming:

The significance of soccer across the world is something I don’t think most American’s grasp. It isn’t just the World Cup once every 4 years. Those 10-year-olds in the video above? They are never going to school. No, really, they will never be going to school and that decision was made at a young age by some wizard who knows if a soccer play can be the next Messi at age 8. They will just play soccer for the rest of their lives unless they suddenly start to stink, at which point they will be cut. Yes, your career as a soccer player can be cut short at the age of 12 for not being good enough. Do you think Pop Warner football in Texas is crazy? Wait until you learn more about the youth academies across Europe and South America. There should be a docuseries on how crazy they truly are. Now, I’m not talking New England Revolution’s youth academy, I mean Barca, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Man U, Liverpool, etc. Ever seen the pressure of a family on the back of an 11-year-old? Pitch that idea to a Hollywood exec. His eyes will turn green.
