Walk The Line: Jesus Shuttlesworth is the greatest fictional basketball player of all time

Ray Allen’s portrayal of Jesus Shuttlesworth hit theaters 21 years ago today, where he took his place as the top fictional basketball player ever. Jesus is followed by Billy Hoyle (White Men Can’t Jump), Tommy Sheppard (Above The Rim), Will Smith and Steve Urkel.

But you want winners. And I’ve got them.

A lot of people love to zig-zag from the Game 1 result in a playoff series, and I often do just that. But not tonight. With no Nurkic in the middle for Portland, I just can’t see the Blazers matching up very well against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets. In three home games against the Nuggets this year, Jokic is averaging 33 points, 10 rebounds and 7.7 assists per game. Further, Denver is an absurd 41-5 at home this season, 4-1 in the playoffs.

Nuggets -4 is the pick.

Other picks on Walk The Line today:

Islanders (+120) over Canes

Stars (-120) over Blues

Braves-Padres Under 9

Angels (-110) over Blue Jays
