Are We Going To Bet the Champions League and WNBA To Avoid MLB? Damn Right We Are
Someway, somehow, against all odds, the Cleveland Browns delivered for me on not one, not two, but three separate bets. It was a great night to cap an incredible weekend. Now is not the time to take our foot off the gas, however, it is time to press forward with determination and force of will. This is not the time to color up and cash out, no, this is the time to double down and press the advantage. Having said that, I can’t stomach the thought of garbage time baseball. Just can’t do it. So I’m going to turn my attention to the UEFA Champions League and the WNBA Semi-Finals.
Valencia at Chelsea (-130) *3PM Eastern Kick-off*
I’ll be the first to admit, I don’t bet a shit load of soccer. But I do pay enough attention to the major clubs around the world to have an idea what’s going on. What I’ve got in this one is a young, hungry Chelsea team led by legendary player, Frank Lampard, are playing at home against Valencia, whomst is in a bit of disarray. They just fired their manager, Marcelino, last week, and their players were none too pleased about that move. The players won’t talk to the media, and don’t seem very supportive of their new boss. There is a clear difference in motivation here, also the match is at Stamford Bridge, and I don’t have to lay a ton, even though it is on the three way line.
THE PICK: Chelsea
Los Angeles Sparks at Connecticut Sun (-2)
These teams played three times this season with the home team winning each game. I expect this game to be no different. The Sun will have their star defender Jonquel Jones ready to do her part to lock this thing down for the Sun. The Sparks are a quality opponent, no doubt, but they were only 7-10 on the road this season. I think this will be a five game series in all likelihood, but I expect Connecticut to hold serve at home tonight in Game One at Mohegan Sun.
THE PICK: Connecticut Sun -2
Alright let’s keep the good times rolling and cash these tickets, baby!
