So here I am browsing Getty Images because we have to use real photos now in blogs and I see the above picture was taken before the game and holy shit, the Cards never stood a chance. My god. Max put on another amazing, all time performance, going 7 innings of 1 hit ball with 11 Ks, taking a no hitter into the 7th. Just unhittable, filthy stuff from him tonight. Back to back games where the Cardinals bats were DOA, and we still have Strasburg yet to start. My god.
And this is exactly how the Nats have to win games. Very timely hits and the starters going deep. It’s why you pay Max, Corbin, and Stras the big bucks. And so far, so good.
