Gas Money Bob's Week 15 (Round 2 of Playoffs) Bears Preview

Our march through the playoffs continues today with a trip up to the armpit of America, Green Bay Wisconsin.

A few weeks ago I laid out the map to get us to round 5 of the playoffs:

Week 12 vs Giants W ✔

Week 13 @Lions W ✔

Playoffs Round 1 vs Cowboys W ✔

Playoffs Round 2 @Packers easy W

Playoffs Round 3 vs Chiefs W

Playoffs Round 4 @Vikings easy W

So far so good and now the schedule gets a little easier with a game against the Packers in Green Bay. I know we are missing a few key starters but Ryan Pace has constructed a team that is so deep that we can absorb an injury here or there and not miss a beat.

Let’s not forget that the core of our defense and one of the greatest leaders on any NFL team, Akiem Hicks, is back. His presence on the D line is going to be huge for guys like Mack, Floyd, and super star linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski.

Let’s talk about one of the hottest players in the NFL right now. If he would have been doing this all season no one would even be talking about Lamar Jackson. Over the last 3 games Mitch Trubisky has been the QB we all expected him to be. His confidence is at an all time high and he is playing at an elite level.  This is a completely different offense than the one the Packers played back in week 1.

Monty, Tarik, and Mitch should run all over the weak Packer run D while A-Rob and A-Mil take care of the work through the air. If the Packers think they will have it easy again they have another thing coming.

Bear Weather Report:

15 (feels like 5) Degrees

Precipitation 0%

Humidity 67%

Wind WSW 7 mph

Folks, we have Bear Weather in Green Bay. I almost feel bad for the Packers that they have to play the Bears in our kind of weather. This weather and the caravan of Bears fans that are heading up to that disgusting “city” give the Bears an overwhelming advantage. Sorry Aaron.

You Bet Your Ass:

Bears +4

Over/Under 40.5

There are so many factors that the bookmakers missed in this game. The Bears are hungry and are in the playoffs while the Packers are still in the regular season. The weather plays in the Bears favor. Mitch Trubisky is playing better football than Aaron Rodgers. Akiem Hicks is back. Yet they still make us 4 point underdogs? Fucking insulting to put it mildly.

Take that Christmas bonus and forget about paying your credit card bills or your mortgage and put it all on the Bears getting 4 and the under. Bears will win outright so go ahead and play them money line as well.

Game Prediction:

Bears 21

Packers 13

Never forget:

Coming Up Next Week:

Round 3 of the playoffs. The Chiefs come to frigid Soldiers Field to face the hottest team in football.

Bear Down!
