The Last Longer Bet Goes Into Tomorrow's Day 2 Of The Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event As Me and Smitty Both Found Bags!

Well would ya look at that?! The last longer bet goes into tomorrow's day 2 as we both grinded successfully through day 1!

This morning me and General Smitty sat down at the Borgata to play the $3500 Borgata Winter Poker Open Main Event. 40k in starting chips, hour long levels, playing 8 levels today. 

And wouldn't you know it, we both bagged chips to head into day 2!

It was a pretty standard up and down day for me. I sat down at level 3 (playing no ante poker is for the birds) and after 2 hours I was up at 70.9. Flopped a set of 2s, ran a nice bluff, and standard poker things. During the next 2 levels I won some hands and lost some hands, was down to 55, back up to 69, 

and finished the day pretty card and spot dead for the last level, putting 58.2k in the bag heading to bb1k tomorrow. 

I never got aces, kings, or queens. I got 10s a couple times, can't recall picking up AK, and most of the day it was just grinding, looking for spots, and playing optimally, and I'm happy with my results.

Smitty was swingy as well- he said he was down to 20k at once point and went on a nice heater when he turned a full house with the 65o and then someone else shoved into him when he had aces. Not too shabby to bag a smooth 88k going into day 2 for the General.

In total, 375 of today's 683 entries move on to day 2, joining yesterday's 199 who survived day 1. We (knock on wood) play down to the money tomorrow. A long day of grinding ahead.
