Remy Muhfuckin Martin: March 5th CBB Picks
YTD ATS Record: 52-53-2
Ohio State -5.5 vs Illinois
This game has some great individual matchups. Ayo Dosunmu vs the surging CJ Walker at guard. The young beast Kofi Cockburn vs the savvy junior Kaleb Wesson in the post. This game could potentially have massive implications for Ohio State. The Buckeyes with two double bye in the Big Ten tournament with this game and a game in East Lansing on Selection Sunday remaining on the schedule. This game is absolutely must win to keep those hopes alive. The Buckeyes are 15-2 at home and I think their experience and must-win mindset carry them to get it done here and cover the number on Senior night. Plus, theres always a special energy in the air on senior night. THE Ohio State Buckeyes by 12.
Lafayette +3 and ML +135 @ Army
It breaks my heart to have to fade the troops here, but Lafayette is a dangerous team in the Patriot League. They're 17-10-1 ATS this year and great at protecting the rim. We've also got a great guard matchup in Justin Jaworski vs 1st team College Basketball all name player in Tommy Funk. You always know you're gonna get a smart, disciplined group when it comes to any of the military academies but I think Lafayette's skill will show through here. In a matchup as even as this I'll take the points and dip my toes in the money line.
Arizona State -5.5 vs Washington and OVER 144
REMY MOTHERFUCKING MARTIN. How can you fade a team who's best player is named Remy Martin??? Arizona State is coming off two tough losses at UCLA and USC but now they head back home to face an inferior opponent in Washington. They're 10-19 ATS and have been absolute dog shit down the stretch besides blowing out Cal in a fluke of a game. I'm gonna keep it as simple as possible. Arizona State is by far the better team here. They're more talented, play better as a team and are better coached with Bobby Hurley. Take ASU and lay the points. Also I love the over in this game. The great thing about PAC-12 games is the over is never dead. They can combine for 50 points in the first half and then go for 95 in the second half. That's PAC 12 basketball. This is March. Take the Sun Devils and the over.
