Let's Play A Little Penn National Tonight
Alright, it's been a little bit since we've played Penn National, but we're going back tonight. If it weren't pissing rain right now, I might just get in the car and drive to Grantville myself. Instead I'll settle for placing the bet from home and watching on my Hollywood Races app. Let's dig into the Penn National early Pick Four.
Race One: I think we can spread a little bit here and get a bit of a price. Maybe not anything huge, but something. There's reasons to like a lot of these horses. The drop for the (9) Ready to Run is strong, but the same drop is had by the (7) Kathak and he's 8-1 ML. I'm going to use both, as well as the (2), (4) and (8).
Race Two: This is the race we need to spread. These horses are not standouts and a lot of them have a race that seemingly wins this. If we get a little luck we can grab a price here because money will be spread out. I like the drop and connections on the (8) Brave Deacon the best, but it's very close. Also using (1), (2), (5), (7), (11) and (12).
Race Three: This Maiden affair feels like a two horse race between two that have been knocking on the door of the winner's circle. I'm going to use both, as they have solid PP's and they have excellent connections. Give me both the (5) Law of the Land and (10) Back Charge.
Race Four: I was very tempted to single the (3) Mad Momma here and wouldn't fault you if you did. She's off her first start which was very solid and looks to improve here. I'm also adding the (7) Sassy and Hot. It's her second time at this level and may get a better setup to run into.
BlackJack's Penn National Early Pick Four: 2,4,7,8,9/1,2,5,7,8,11,12/5,10/3,7--$70 for .50 cents
