Europa League Final Betting Preview

What a run it has been for #FootyMac. I wrote this back on June 20th:

We head into the first Saturday with Premier League back in action down 7.54 units thanks to our 35-39-2 record on the pitch in 2020. The goal is to get that number in the positive before the Champions League is over in August.

Today, we have Inter against Sevilla in the Europa League final. Should be a good one!

Let's look at Sevilla's performances over their past two matches against Wolves and Manchester United.

Wolves: 1.22 xG to 1.61

Man U: 1.26 xG to 2.47

Sevilla is fortunate to be in this position in the final. The same can't be said about Inter.

Leverkusen: 3.04 xG to 0.74

Shakhtar: 1.54 xG to 0.72

Inter's defense has been phenomenal over their past two matches! When you go back to the start of July in Serie A, they've allowed just 9.81 xG in 10 matches.

I've been riding Inter for awhile now and have won the 4 bets I've placed on them since the Serie A return, plus an over in the Shakhtar game. I don't see why I should stop now.

This is a big game for both teams involved. You saw the lazy effort by Man U in the Europa League return, almost felt like they didn't care. For Inter, this is their first chance to win a trophy in 3371 days!!!! I think they do it today. I'm not overly confident in them as Sevilla has a great squad and they always seem to perform in the Europa League, but I'm not passing up taking Inter at +115.
