Champions League Final Betting Preview

Well, we made it. In the weirdest year of sports in my lifetime, the 2019-2020 soccer campaign is ending today.

PSG vs. Bayern for the Champions League. An absolute delight of a matchup. Right now, the odds sit at:

Bayern -105

PSG +215

Draw +315

Total: 3.5

To lift trophy:

Bayern -170

PSG +150

It seems like every person and their mother is on Bayern. Blackjack is on Bayern!

I love Blackjack, but the man isn't a soccer fan. More often than not, when everyone is on one side in a situation like this it doesn't go their way. Why do you think the buildings in Vegas are so tall? Why do you think the pools are so nice? 

I don't blame anyone for betting Bayern. I've long thought they are the best team in the world. However, today? My gut is telling me we are in for a treat.

PSG's performance of late has been great. They've put together back-to-back games where their xG was over 3 and xGA was under 1. Their key tonight will be stopping Bayern's attack and then counter-attacking with Neymar & Mbappe. Lyon had more than their fair share of chances against Bayern. On these two attacks, PSG finds a way to score:

Bayern actually gave up 1.74 xG against a Lyon team that pales in comparison to the attack they will fact today.

He has had some ridiculous misses, but Neymar has been playing absolutely spectacular as of late. The man is due for a goal.

As I was writing this blog, I kept going back and forth with who is going to lift the trophy. I just can't escape PSG. I think Mbappe and Neymar find a way to do it.
