14 Of The Avs 18 Skaters Recorded A Point In The First Period

While most of us are watching our Bruins in OT vs the Lightning, our Avalanche got off to a hellllll of a start, taking the Stars behind the woodshed in the first period of game 5, needing the win to keep the dream alive. An absolute pounding, with get this, 14 of the 18 skaters recording a point in the period. 

Only two guys not recording a point or a shot on net, is that good? Sources say yes, quite good indeed! 

Also, shout out to Andre Burakovsky for turning it on this postseason, who now has 13 points (and counting) in 13 playoff games (including tonight's). Never put it all together in Washington, but the change of location seems to be doing him well. 

I fucking love watching the Avalanche. Obviously MacKinnon is an animal, and Cale Makar is my favorite defenseman to watch in the league, ever. The things he can do with the puck, the way he skates, it blows my mind every shift. He's up there with Ovi, McDavid, and Pasta as my favorite players to watch in the league. Fucking love Cale Makar.
