Game 2: Your WNBA Seattle Storm v Las Vegas Aces Gambling Preview
Game one of the WNBA Finals went pretty much as I thought it would (except Vegas scored enough to hit the over). The Storm won 93-80 in a game that was never particularly close, as Seattle was up by 17 at halftime and cruised on home to cover -4.5 with ease. Breanna Stewart had a MONSTER game with 37 points and 15 rebounds and Sue Bird had a record 16 assists for the Storm, while Vegas never got anything going. Even MVP A’ja Wilson’s 19 felt unimportant.
Game two is Sunday at 3:00 and Seattle is a -7 favorite (o166.5). Unless Vegas magically figures out a way to stop Stewie in the low post, or can magically box her out on their offensive side of the court (all her 15 rebounds were defensive), I just don’t see how this game turns out any different. Without Hamby off the bench, Vegas just can’t seem to hang with Seattle.
THE PICK: HAMMER Seattle -7
We’ll be back for Game 3, and for everyone out there who’s hanging with me and making cash? This one should be money in the bank. Of course, gamble responsibly.
