Week 12 NCAAF Betting Deep Dive Of The Best Play On The Board
Great time of the year...Thanksgiving, we have college hoops next week and we have another big week of college football. A lot of cancellations this week but there's still plenty of value.
Since I came to Barstool these NCAAF deep dives are 6-3-1. I am coming off a loss. Sadly, twice this season nothing was reported on a starting QB for a team involving an OVER I bet. Last Saturday, Anthony Russo practiced all week then at the last hour he tested positive. Let's dust off and move forward.
Currently at Barstool Sportsbook, Clemson is a 35 point (-108) favorite vs Florida State. The total is 64.
Clemson was off last week. They needed it and had some time to recalibrate and rejuvenate after the 47-40 loss at Notre Dame. Trevor Lawrence is back, the defense is spittin mad after the bad performance and I think they are poised for a BLOWOUT win. Florida State is a wounded animal right now and a complete mess.
Lawrence has to be licking his lips to face the Florida State defense. This unit is awful. The passing defense has allowed 271 a game and 8.4 yards per attempt, 14th worst in the country. One of the main issues has been the lack of a pass rush. Opposing QB's have all day to throw. The defensive line has only recorded 10 sacks in 8 games, dead last in the ACC, and among the worst in the nation. They also can't get off the field on third down, and can't stop the run allowing 5.3 yards a carry. They also got some bad news this week after losing one of their best defensive players and leader up front in Marvin Wilson to an injury. As we know Clemson is completely stacked everywhere on offense. They have the best running back in the country in my opinion and have six receivers that have caught multiple TD's. They are going to light it up this week, I say this nicely, it wouldn't surprise me if Clemson hit this total themselves. They are going to have a point to prove. Keep in mind, in two games against FSU in his career, Trevor Lawrence has 8 TD's.
Offensively right now for Seminoles, things are a mess as well. Jordan Travis is said to be the starter but he's coming off a week he was out due to injury. They got some awful news as well this week when it was reported that leading WR and speedster Tamorrion Terry had opted out. He had 23 catches for 289 in just five games. Clemson defensively is off a bad performance and I expect over the time off they got things worked out and are looking to prove their own point like the offense. Clemson is loaded at all positions on defense, the defensive line should eat. They already have 30 sacks this season and this is an FSU OL that's been maligned this year. Allowing 28 sacks is bad, among the worst in the country and they got hit with more bad news that OL Devontay Love-Taylor was out for the year. That means 3 freshman will start on the line and without a big weapon in the skill positions I expect Travis to take some lumps.
This game has all the makings of a blowout, a team looking to get the bad tastes out of their mouths off a loss and week to recalibrate against a team with issues up down with important players out and a football program that's been fading faster and faster. I smell at 61-10, 59-13 type of game.
I am well aware laying 5 TDs on the road is never warranted, here it is. These programs coming into this game are only different planets.
I'm laying the 35 here with Clemson.
