Hump Day Scoring: RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls

Giphy Images.

Oof. Took it on the chin last night. The Blackhawks came back and gave us a chance but we lost the breakaway contest and our bet. Calgary and Winnipeg scored four goals in the first 13+ minutes then just one more the rest of the way. And the Sens Sens'd.

There are only two games on the board tonight and they couldn't be more opposite. The Bruins and Flyers, despite the line, is a coin flip. Tampa Bay is a monster fave at home vs. the Red Wings. I don't like any team here. But I still want some rooting interest so I'm taking OVER 2.5 BRUINS GOALS -155 for a small play. The Bs are a different team with Pasta in the line-up and they should score three tonight…even against Carter Hart.

Good luck to all.

Detroit Red Wings @ Tampa Bay Lightning (ML -330, O/U 5.5)

Murls Take: Did the NHL listen to my rant and RA talking about staggering game times or is it a coincidence?!? So with that said, it's Super Bowl week in the Sunshine State so we look there for the early game. Tampa gets scoring from all four lines and Detroit is not good. The betting line reflects this disparity in teams so we must be creative and find value. Detroit is rolling out Greiss who is off to a tough start with zero wins and Tampa will be looking forward to a point night. Quick stat: Tampa is 4-0-0 at home this year. If you don’t mind laying -330 to cash a win, thats your decision but I look for value plays.

Murls Pick: Tampa 5-1.

Murley's Best Bet: Tampa Bay OVER 3.5 total team goals (-124)

Murley's Last Bet: St. Louis Blues three-way -106 = Winner
