Hump Day Picks Are In: RA's Gambling Corner Feat. Murls
We can thank Ovie's tremendous backchecking for last night's 2-0 night. Just a fantastic sequence in what was one of the best games of the season.
Our boy Murls was on the Caps as well so hopefully y'all made some cash last night. Make sure to follow him for his afternoon Euro-picks where #EverybodyRides.
Tonight, we're looking to Alberta. Calgary's Jacob Markstrom has owned the Canucks this season after the team didn't sign him and ostensibly replaced him with Braden Holtby. Holtby has had the roughest start of his career and is in the crease tonight for the first time in 9 days. Markie keeps rolling so we're on Calgary -160 and also -1.5 +170 for half of the money line play.
Up the road a bit, the Oilers and Jets will be going at it. Mike Smith is in for the Oilers and has been feast-or-famine in his very small sample size. Connor Hellebuyck is legit but still gives up goals to the Oilers. So we on OVER 6.5 -110.
Good luck to all.
Friend of Spittin' Chiclets, son of The Capital District, and 17-year pro Matt Murley will also be sharing his picks here as well.
Ottawa Senators @ Toronto Maple Leafs (ML -290, O/U 6.5)
Murls Take: I admit I love the drama in Toronto and now that Biz is throwing around Stanley Cup calls, it makes me even more invested. No matter your thoughts about the team, the Leafs must watch TV. I will be tuning in tonight to watch them play as if they do not want to answer more questions about shaky play. The Senators have shown they are playing better and can be that fly in your room that keeps buzzing but the Leafs put it on them today.
Murls Pick: Leafs 5-2
Murley's Best Bet: Leafs -1.5 (-132). Side bet: Nylander anytime goal (+130).
Murley's Last Bet: Capitals ML - Winner
