Derrick Rose Said He Doesn’t Give A Fuck About Trae Young Talking Shit

I LOVE this answer from Derrick Rose. All business here. It’s the playoffs. Things are gonna be said and names are gonna be called. At the end of the day the only thing that matters is who brings it on the court night in and night out. He gave Trae Young the most savvy veteran response of all time saying “If you want to talk shit, talk shit, but next game it’s going to be tougher.” God damn right it is D-Rose!!!! Bring that heat. This isn’t his first rodeo. Trae Young is just an excited lil puppy dog. Derrick Rose has been the big dog in the yard for a long time now. He’s built for this. If I could paraphrase for Derrick Rose on his comments, he basically told Trae Young to stop being a little pussy and he better be ready to back it up again because the Garden is gonna be ROCKING. If 15,000 New Yorkers were chanting “Fuck Trae Young” 2 minutes into Game 1 before anything even happened, I can only imagine the kind of mentality this crowd is bringing for Game 2. I’m so fucking fired up. You know damn well I’m betting on the Knicks tonight.

Rough day yesterday but still positive overall on the month. This gambling shit isn’t for the faint of heart lemme tell ya. One day you‘re going 6-0 with a +875 winner and the next you‘re going 1-5 losing your shirt (responsibly). If you want to have any success in this world, you’ve gotta have the short term memory of a franchise quarterback. Throw a pick-six and immediately come back on the field and fire another bullet like nothing even happened. Here’s todays card:

Knicks -2

- There‘s no question that the Knicks have their backs against the wall here. You absolutely CANNOT go down 0-2 at home and expect to win a 7 game series, you just can’t. But as a Knicks backer even coming off the Game 1 loss there’s still a lot of positive things to take away from it. The Knicks were 25-11 at home in the regular season. This is a team that has consistently thrived at home all year. Julius Randle came in like a guy that looked like  he felt he had to win this game all by himself. He forced shots and played by far his worst game of the entire season shooting 6/24 from the field and the Knicks still lost by 2 on a last second floater from Trae Young. Randle has had a few days to get his mind right and shake off that bad performance from Game 1. You saw the clip at the top of this blog, that’s a motivated Derrick Rose if I’ve ever seen one. He’s done an incredible job taking a leadership roll on this team and I think the rest of the roster follows suit in his mentality towards Game 2. I think we see big games from Julius Randle and Derrick Rose here to steady the ship and take the series to Atlanta tied 1-1.

Grizzlies +9

-Yes, I am aware that Donovan Mitchell is back tonight. But I think its pretty far fetched to expect him to step on the court and not have to shake off a little rust after a 17 game absence like he had. This Grizzlies team is young, feisty and playing with house money. One of the most dangerous opponents in all of sports is an opponent that has nothing to lose. The Memphis Grizzlies as an 8 seed have absolutely nothing to lose here. I’m gonna ride Ja Morant, Dillion Brooks and the Grizzlies hot hands and take them catching 9 points.

Mets -135

-Marcus Stroman has been a quiet workhorse for the Mets this season. Even though his record is 3-4 he has a 2.75 ERA and has only allowed 11 walks in 52.1 innings. The Mets may be as injured as any team in all of sports right now but they have sneakily been very good at home (12-5) and the Rockies have been putrid on the road (3-18). I’m taking the Mets here because even though their ability to score runs has been by far their biggest concern, at the end of the day pitching wins in baseball. I’m taking the Mets here at what I think is a good valued price with all things considered.

Giants -115

-The San Francisco Giants have been a god damn cash cow for me all season long. I don’t know where the hell they came from or how they all of a sudden turned back the calendars to 2010, but this team knows how to win ball games. They have the better pitcher on the mound in Johnny Cueto, the better lineup, the momentum and they’ve been a solid road team going 15-12 so far this season. I’ll continue to ride this Giants team (especially at this price) until it fails me.

*By the time this blog gets posted the game will have started already but I’m on the Cardinals +175 today at 2pm vs the White Sox. Way too good of a lineup and a team to be getting +175 value, I’m taking a shot on them here.
