Trysta's Teasers: WNBA Picks For The Weekend (Saturday Update)
Sometimes you get the bear and sometimes the bear gets you. Last night the Lynx showed up and beat Las Vegas 90-89. Oh well, we’re on to Cincinnati.
Two games on the slate today and I like both of them. The afternoon game pits the Mystics against the Dallas Wings (-6 and u167). Dallas needs to get their shit in order, because they’re a big disappointment. Arike deserves much, much better. Both teams, in fact, are hovering right around .500. Both teams are also on fire ATS; Washington is 7-3 ATS and the Wings 8-2. Here’s why I like the Mystics. Dallas is 2-7 at home in their last nine. They just can’t hold the home court. And the Mystics have turned their season around, going 5-2 in their last 7. Even with all of the injuries hitting Washington (Delle Donne, Powers, etc.) I think they cover.
THE PICK: Washington +6
The night game has the New York Liberty visiting the Atlanta Dream (-4 and u169.5). Again a battle of fairly evenly matched teams that are both in a spiral ATS. The Liberty are 1-4 and the Dream 2-4 ATS of late. The Liberty were +7 and +6.5 in their last two and lost by a combined 43 points. I like the Dream in this one.
THE PICK: Atlanta -4
Check back tomorrow when we’ll go over the Sunday games, with an eye towards the Seattle vs. Las Vegas game on ABC. Biggest game of the year for the WNBA.
