Final WNBA Picks Before The International Break

This is the biggest day of the WNBA season with FIVE games on the slate before the All-Star game leading into the international break. I love that ten teams are playing today and that so many of these players will be featured in the Olympics. If you’re not up to speed, there’s a chance the Ogwumike sisters might play for Nigeria after Nneka got snubbed by the US Olympic Team. After Nigeria’s shocking win last night over the US Men’s team, all eyes will be on the “friendly” between the US Women’s team and the Nigerian Women’s team on July 18th.

We got five games. We’re betting them all.

The first game on the slate is Las Vegas vs the Dallas Wings (+3 and o171.5). Dallas is one of the best in the league ATS this year (10-5) while Vegas is an over-machine (7-2 of late). Liz Cambage is out for Vegas which is a big loss, but I think the Aces have enough to beat Dallas at home. I also like the under.

THE PICK: Vegas -3

The second game of the day sees the Connecticut Sun visit the very inconsistent New York Liberty (+8.5 and o156.5). The Sun are just 3-6 ATS lately, even if they’ve won five of their last six. Which means they win but don’t cover. And +8.5 is a lot, but damn are the Liberty are so hard to read. With Alyssa Thomas questionable for the Sun, I’m going to take New York and the points, but keep in mind I’ve been ass backward on the Liberty all year.

THE PICK: New York +8.5

Our third game of the day is Indiana at Atlanta (-5.5 and u164). Indiana is AWFUL (2-8 SU in their last ten) but also great ATS at 5-1, in part because of the big lines they’ve been getting. The Dream are 4-2 ATS in the past couple weeks. Lavender is out for Indiana while Chennedy Carter is suspended indefinitely for reasons unknown for Atlanta. I like the home team in this one.

THE PICK: Atlanta -5.5

In the fourth game, the Phoenix Mercury play the Seattle Storm (-8 and o163). Seattle is 0-5 ATS in their last five, but Diana Taurasi is questionable for the game today. This means this game hinges on whether she can play or not. I’m betting she’ll want to get one more game in before the long break, so I’m going to roll with Phoenix although I think Seattle wins this game outright.

THE PICK: Phoenix +8

The evening game pits the Minnesota Lynx against the L.A. Sparks (+7.5 and u156.5). The Lynx are straight up on fire ATS (5-0) while L.A. is 4-2 ATS because they are trash and getting BIG lines of late. Don’t overthink this one. Without Nneka and Chiney and Kristi Toliver, the Sparks don’t have the horses. Take the Lynx. I also like the under in this one.

THE PICK: Minnesota -7.5

As an aside, the picks above in a five-team parlay pays 11.7 to 1 on the Barstool Sportsbook App.

That’s it for the first half of the WNBA season! We’ll be back after the international break with some fun stuff we're working out with Penn National Gaming, including some great WNBA parlays for you to bet responsibly on. So every weekend you can ride with me, or fade me at your discretion. Either way, these women will make you some money!

Speaking of international games,Team Nigeria beat Team USA in men's international play and if you thought that was exciting, the women's matchup of these two looks to be MUCH hotter with all three Ogwumike sisters playing for Team Nigeria (Nneka will most likely sit out of this exhibition game).
