Forecaster Frank's Lessons For Week 9

A crazy week and a 7-7 record has to be considered a success.

Thursday Night

NYJ +10.5 (o/u 46)

My Pick: Colts 24 Jets 20

Score: Colts 45 Jets 30

The Jets' chances of winning ended when Mike White was hurt in the first quarter. However, they nearly stole a backdoor cover, pain.

Result: LOSS

Sunday at 1

Bal -6 (o/u 49.5)

My Pick: Ravens 27 Vikings 17

Score: Ravens 34 Vikings 31 (OT)

The Ravens came in flat after the bye week but staged a furious comeback in the second half to beat the Vikings in overtime. The Ravens now get a second bye with an easy Thursday night game in Miami.

Result: LOSS

NE -4 (o/u 41)

My Pick:  Patriots 26 Panthers 16

Score: Patriots 24 Panthers 6

With each passing win, the Patriots look more dangerous as they have risen above .500 at 5-4.

Result: WIN

Cin -2.5 (o/u 47)

My Pick:  Bengals 27 Browns 24

Score: Browns 41 Bengals 16

The Browns look like a team that had been freed as they slaughter their Buckeye State rivals. I wonder if they were that happy that Odell Beckham Jr. was released. The Bengals, meanwhile, have returned to playing like the Bungals.

Result: LOSS

Dal -9.5 (o/u 49.5)

My Pick:  Cowboys 27 Broncos 3

Score: Broncos 30 Cowboys 16

The Cowboys wore a special red stripe on their helmets to honor Veterans Day. I don't think we will see that stripe again, as the Cowboys had their worst performance of the season.

Result: LOSS

Buf -14.5 (o/u 49)

My Pick:  Bills 41 Jaguars 18

Score: Jaguars 9 Bills 6

The Manning Cast Curse is real, and it is spectacular, as Josh Allen played like shit, his words. Meanwhile, Josh Allen got a game ball for the Jaguars, intercepting Josh Allen, sacking Josh Allen, and recovering a Josh Allen fumble. It was Josh Allen on Josh Allen assault.

Result: LOSS

Mia -6.5 (o/u 46)

My Pick:  Dolphins 24 Texans 13

Score: Dolphins 17 Texans 9

I came, I saw, the Dolphins won. Honestly, it was more the Texans losing as both teams played like 1-7 teams, committing nine turnovers in a game that will be shown on Football Follies and how not to play football videos.

Result: WIN

Atl +6 (0/u 42.5)

My Pick:  Saints 20 Falcons 17

Score: Falcons 27 Saints 25

The Falcons blew an 18-point lead in the fourth quarter, but Matt Ryan was able to get them down the field as Younghoe Koo hit the game-winning field goal. Koo has been money, as the Falcons have been saved a few times from an epic collapse.

Result: WIN

NYG +3 (o/u 46.5)

My Pick:  Giants 20 Raiders 17

Score: Giants 23 Raiders 16

As I called it, the Raiders had too many distractions to overcome as they continued their early-game struggles with a loss to the Giants in the Meadowlands.

Result: WIN

Sunday Late Game

LAC -1.5 (o/u 50)

My Pick: Chargers 37 Eagles 20

Score: Chargers 27 Eagles 24

The Chargers did just enough to get a last-second win in Philadelphia.

Result: WIN

KC -7.5 (o/u 48.5)

My Pick: Chiefs 34 Packers 10

Score: Chiefs 13 Packers 7

Patrick Mahomes continued to struggle as the Chiefs were fortunate not to face Aaron Rodgers, as they did just enough to escape the game with a win.

Result: LOSS

Ari PK (o/u 45)

My Pick: Cardinals 26 49ers 19

Score: Cardinals 31 49ers 17

Kyler Murray and DeAndre Hopkins did not play, but the Cardinals proved that they are a deeper team by winning on the road against the 49ers.

Result: WIN

Sunday Night

LAR -7.5 (o/u 53.5)

My Pick: Rams 33 Titans 16

Score: Titans 28 Rams 16

Matthew Stafford had a terrible night, as the Titans defense made a statement with a Sunday Night win in Los Angeles.

Result: LOSS

Monday Night

Chi +6 (o/u 40)

My Pick:  Steelers 17 Bears 13

Score: Steelers 29 Bears 27

The Bears struggled with penalties as it appeared as if the refs were wearing black and yellow with the calls that went against Chicago. The Bears almost had the upset, but Justin Fields left too much time on the clock for Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers.

Result: WIN
