Did the Rangers make a fatal mistake by giving the champs a lifeline? When you have a team like Tampa down you can't let them off the mat.  2-1 going into the 3rd you have to get it done. 

But a series doesn't start until someone loses at home.  The Rangers are playing great hockey by playing fast through the neutral zone and capitalizing on the PP.  This formula should not change. But a win tonight would be huuuuge and put them on the doorstep of the cup. 

The Lightning are a proud group who know how to win. They are the champs so they are not going to give go away quietly.  They need Kucherov to keep scoring and being an absolute menace to opposing defenses.  

The rust is shaken off and the champs know they can move on in the series if they win at home and force a game 7. For them to win tonight, I think they have to play with a lead and make the Rangers take some more chances.  Get in front of Igor down in the blue paint and maybe be a little physical with him.  

This game won't have 11 goals like last night in the west because it is a chess match with the best goalies in the league. The goalies are still the story but tonight a few get by each to help us cash our big special.
