The Biggest Success And Failure Of The MLB Season

On today's Hot Ice with the baseball season winding down, we decided to unpack who has been the biggest success and failure of this season.

To me, the success stories were pretty clear.

The Seattle Mariners are a stone cold winner with what they have done this season. No one really thought Seattle could turn into one of the best teams in the AL, nor did anyone consider them a World Series sleeper, but here we are on September 27th and the Mariners are 83-69 have a bonafide star in Julio Rodriguez, and strong arms in Logan Gilbert and Robbie Ray. The story in Seattle is nothing short of a major success, and it will be fun to watch them in the playoffs.

The failure is The Chicago White Sox. Talk about wasted talent. Jose Abreu, Tim Anderson, Yoan Moncada, Luis Robert, Dylan Cease and Lucas Giolito  and this team is 76-77 and on life support in the Wild Card race ? What a failure. This team had high hopes and played in an underwhelming division and still couldn't win it. Bad , bad year for the boys from the South Side.
