$EBR Pulls Off A Mark Messier Guarantee

Everyone remembers the "Guarantee" from NY Rangers captain Mark Messier in the Eastern Conference Finals in 1994 on the way to the Stanley Cup.

Not all will remember the Egg Nog Guarantee, but yesterday after a rare down day in European pucks something big needed to be done to keep the confidence level high for the $EBR Crew. Messier's guarantee came against the New Jersey Devils and they are a team I love to fade right now, so it was easy to follow the Captain's lead last night.

$EBR gave out the guaranteed winner on the Carolina Hurricanes to beat up on the New Jersey Devils and they did not disappoint, scoring :20 into the game.

The Canes had complete control of the entire game, jumped out to a 3-0 lead, and cruised to a 4-1 win, giving the crew a no-sweat winner. Every hockey fan knew the Canes would be good this year, but not many knew that this rookie goalie Pyotr Kochetkov would become a real problem for the rest of the NHL.

$EBR finished up the NHL slate with a late-night winner on the Calgary Flames by fading the San Jose Sharks which doesn't take a Rocket Scientologist to figure out because they just stink! The reason behind my fading of the Devils over the last week will have to wait for the next episode of Chiclets Game Notes, so I can give a proper explanation.

$EBR is 4-0 in our last 4 NHL plays all winning by large margins, so we will look to continue that streak tonight maybe there will even be another Egg Nog Guarantee!
