The Championship Sunday Lines Are Out & The Oddsmakers Do Not Have Much Faith in The Home Teams

The early lines are already out for Conference Championship Sunday. And there is a noticeable lack of faith in the home teams.

The Eagles only being a 2.5 point favorite at home did surprise me a little (I did think it would be -3). After all, San Francisco is starting Mr. Irrelevant Brock Purdy at QB who was only the final pick of this year's NFL Draft. I have seen enough from both the Phillies and Eagles in post season recently to respect the rowdy Philly home field. 

It certainly was on display in the 38-7 massacre of the Giants on Saturday night. However, going against Kyle Shanahan is not an easy thing to do either. And the 49ers have won a crap ton of games in a row behind the #1 defense in the NFL.

Kansas City only opening as a 1 point favorite in Arrowhead was JARRING. Obviously Mahomes ankle injury played a MASSIVE factor in this line but I still expected it to be 2.5 or 3 points. After all, Cincy was getting a full 6 on Sunday which was absurd!

The line also could be only one because Joe Burrow is 3-0 against Patrick Mahomes. It certainly seems on paper that the experts in Vegas think the Bengals are heading back to the Super Bowl.

One thing is for sure judging by these close lines. Football fans are in for a HELLUVA Championship Sunday!
