Fore Please! Your Thursday Masters Betting Preview Is Here
Hello friends. It's time for the Masters.
Tuesday I laid out a massive 6,373 word blog previewing this entire tournament including my picks to win. Go read it. It's spectacular.
Go ahead and read D-Rap's full field ranking too. You'll be better for it.
On a smaller scale, each eve/morning I'll be dishing out the lay of the land for that given day's action. Weather, tee times, pin locations, daily props, H2H's, the whole shebang.
Here's one final look at the top of the outright board at the Barstool Sportsbook before the action officially begins shortly at 8 AM:
Tee Times
The Coverage
Tons of coverage on the early end at Masters.com and ESPN+, followed up by full coverage on ESPN at 3. You'll be able to watch every shot that each of your favorited players hit on the Masters.com leaderboard too. They usually have some fun new wrinkles to what they offer online, so that's something to look forward to.
As for featured groups, here ya go:
10:18 a.m.: Viktor Hovland, Xander Schauffele, Tiger Woods
10:42 a.m.: Justin Thomas, Jon Rahm, Cameron Young
1:36 p.m.: Scottie Scheffler, Max Homa, Sam Bennett
2 p.m.: Jordan Spieth, Tommy Fleetwood, Tony Finau
The Weather
Mostly benign, rather warm… chance of a sprinkle in the afternoon…. not much to worry about here today, it's tomorrow afternoon thru Sunday morning to be concerned about…

Props
Justin Thomas 1st Round Leader +3300 - 1st Round Leader bets typically come in at better odds than tournament outrights at the top of the board because it's far easier for some no-name to shoot the lights out for 18 holes than 72 and ruin the party. With that said, JT's number for 1RL is further out of whack from his outright (+2000) and I think he's totally flying under the radar here this week. JT can go low with the best of em.
Dustin Johnson Top 5 After Round 1 +700 - I think there's a lot of value in betting the LIV guys, especially on the early front. If they get out to a hot start that may change quickly as people realize that they're still pro golfers who have been around the block a time or to. So make sure to get some now while you can. Feel free to add Cam Smith +600 on this too, and maybe Joaquin Niemann +1100 too.
Tiger Woods U72.5 +100 - This pick is as square as it comes and I simply don't care. Take it if you want to have some fun.
Head-To-Head
Xander Schauffele (-125) over Viktor Hovland (tie no bet) - I'm not big on Hovland at Augusta. Short game woes don't line up with what you need out there and there's some tight pins out there today that could expose that in a hurry. X is just so solid.
Jason Day (-335) over Zach Johnson (tie no bet) - TON of juice here, but Day is going to smash ZJ. Throw it in a parlay if you don't like the juice. I don't think I'm legally allowed to call it a freebie so I won't.
Joaquin Niemann (+104) over Tyrell Hatton (tie no bet) - I've seen enough from Hatton here over the years to expect that it won't go very well for him out there. Niemann is a bit undervalued due to the LIV effect.
Let's roll baby. Enjoy Thursday…. at the Masters.
