Extras :
-Maybe I’ve been asleep at the wheel, but I’ve never come across betting if or if not teams will make the NFL playoffs. Bovada has a full list of every teams odds here. At first glance, here’s a few I like :
Houston Texans will not make playoffs +105
Cincinnati Bengals will not make the playoff +135
Indianapolis Colts will make the playoffs -165
All odds via Bovada
– College Football win totals are out. Bovada lists all the marquee big name teams, and as you know I love the middle conference teams, however one pick that jumped out that I really like , and may not be a popular opinion is : Tennessee UNDER 10 wins -165 . They have a lot of talent, but again, I’m still not sold on this team being elite.
PICKS :
@SamSays09 returns looking for to go 3 for 3 as a guest picker. Here we go with his take :
“We head to Seattle for tonight’s pick between the Mariners and Orioles. Let’s take a closer look:
*All stats are as of Thursday afternoon
Kevin Gausman gets the ball for the O’s, coming off a great outing in his last start, going 7.2 shutout innings at home vs Tampa. It’s been a different story on the road for him, though, as he is 0-4 in 7 starts, while sporting a 5.11 ERA and hitters batting .302 off him. While somewhat of a small sample size (43 AB’s), the Mariners are hitting .349 off Gausman lifetime. Robbie Cano leads the way having gone 5-9.
Opposing Gausman will be journeyman lefty, Wade LeBlanc. He’s got a career 4.41 ERA and an UGLY 1.41 WHIP spanning over 7 seasons. Interestingly enough, in 2014 and 2015 combined, he had a higher ERA at home then on the road, (5.80 vs 3.86.).
Orioles come into this game red hot, having won 7 straight…amassing a whopping 68 runs in their last 8 games! Furthermore, they haven’t scored less than 5 in any of them. Orioles are 5-1 in their last 6 vs lefties and the over has hit in 4 straight. 9 of 13 on the road. The O’s have also tied the MLB of homers in a Month with 55 (not including last night’s game).
The Pick: Orioles/Mariners OVER 8.5 total runs. I think the Orioles almost take care of this one by themselves, and will predict a score of 7-4. “
Enjoy the 4th of July. Have a hot dog, hug a veteran, and thank Hank for keeping this company running. God Bless America !
