The Cubs fell into a hole down 2-1 in the series, after another marvelous Indians pitching performance, and with Kluber on hill tonight- the hopes in Chicago are grim. In fact, the Cubbies have now flipped to a series dog.
It was brought up on The Dave Portnoy show that a caller with a -230 Cubs ticket before the Series should double down on the Cubs despite losing Game 1 with a discounted price. Dave suggested he should- and at that point I would have strongly agreed. However, asked the same question today and with Kluber on the hill, I don’t know how confident I would feel in the Cubs coming back from what I suspect to be a 3-1 hole.

– More focus on The Windy City. In an anomaly of scheduling, the Cubs, Blackhawks and Bears are playing at home on October 30th and 31st. Bovada is essentially offering a parlay for all three Chicago teams to win at +1000.
My advice … take the parlay at Yes +1000 , and hope for the hedge opportunity with the Vikings Monday night, because let’s face it- that’s the one to feel most worried about of the 3. Rob Trites gives his takes here.
– While I tend to favor betting games pre game, and sometimes waiting on a game to take a 2nd half, in-game betting is very popular. OddsShark’s NFL in game betting tip sheet is top notch stuff. Joe Osborne has the full take here. But here’s a snap shot of the stats in there regarding teams records when winning and losing at certain points in the game.

Baylor -3.5
The blind followers of Charlie Strong will not like this one, and frankly I’m still amazed ANYONE has confidence in Charlie Strong. Texas is not a good football team in my eyes. The biggest black eye to me is their pass D. Rated an awful 94th in the country. Seth Russell is literally undefeated in every game he’s started for Baylor. Has Baylor skated by with a bad schedule thus far ? Yes. But that makes me that much more confident they are tuned up and dialed in for this game, especially coming off a bye. And say what you will about Baylor’s crap schedule. Texas’s wins of ND, Utep, and Iowa State aren’t all that impressive. Like Baylor to run away in this one.
– Hank…glad to have you back on my good side.
